About the IPA-New York Our ethnic and community press membership in New York City reflects the vast range of cultures and of languages spoken here. KIP Business Report, Nowy Dziennik, Daily Challenge, Arab Voice, News India-Times, Russian Forward, and Haiti Progres are among our members. We also work with national IPA members located in the city, like African Link, City Limits, Harper's, and Lilith. To better serve our members, we have been building alliances with community, labor, and industry groups. With the Audit Bureau of Circulation, we've been working on a step-by-step plan to make an audit - the key for newspapers to get advertising - more affordable for our members. Our work with labor groups and nonprofits has generated a number of campaigns that have channeled vital advertising dollars to New York papers. Communication with government offices has helped us help editors get important information about civic participation to their readers. Because our focus is on New York City and the surrounding area, we can provide technical assistance face-to-face and create opportunities for our members to meet and learn from each other.
