SAN FRANCISCO—(U.S. ASIAN WIRE)— (USAW)--February 13, 2009--Having drawn such renowned performers as rapper Jin the Emcee, former American Idol contestants Jasmine Trias and Jose "Sway" Penala and Apl.de.Ap of the Black Eyed Peas, the 5th Annual Asian Heritage Street Celebration is once again inviting talented artists to grace its stages. Musicians, vocalists, dance groups and other entertainers are encouraged to apply. The largest Asian Pacific American event in the nation will be held Saturday, May 16, 2009 in San Francisco, in front of the Asian Art Museum, leading up to the little Saigon District, and features today's Asian American pop culture, Asian American artists, DJs, martial arts, food, arts and crafts, anime, free community health screenings and exciting prizes.
